An exciting day for HOME

Today, HOME received funding for a staff person to implement our HOMELite program, and also received a "giant check" for a family sponsorship.

The HOMELite position was funded through Disney's Helping Kids Shine Grant Program. They provided $20,000 to hire a staff person to provide navigation and advocacy services to homeless families in Osceola County. With this grant we will begin to be able to make a dent in the hundreds of families living in motels.

Give Kids Safe Shelter named HOME as a primary beneficiary of their annual golf tournament, and donated $10,000 to put a family through HOME for an entire year. We now have 3 family sponsors, and are hoping to secure 12 more for 2008. Sphere: Related Content
